Pooja Mehra, a product of the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, formed Inkasa Interiors in New Delhi, India. Her international experience prior to launching Inkasa includes working at Ethan Allen, New York (Design Consultant), Irwin Weiner Interiors, New York, NY (Interior Designer), Robin Barron Home, New York, NY (Furniture Merchandising Assistant), Betsy Brock Interiors (Interior Designer) and Bloomingdale’s (Interior Design Services).

Being born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Pooja believes in creating spaces that display a fusion of cultures. Her design aesthetic is an amalgamation of traditional design and subtle modernity with Oriental influences, which leads in creating a luxurious yet comfortable abode for her clients. She challenges her clients to commit to helping her create a space that reflects them.

As a self-confessed symbolic person, Pooja creates homes that speak to the person who lives there and makes them perfectly individual to live in. After all, a home should be entirely moulded around its owner.

Shweta was born and raised in Delhi, and was inspired by Pooja’s artwork and creativity since early childhood. Six months before completing high school, she applied and was accepted to the Fashion Institute of Technology for Visual Presentation & Exhibition Design.

With a strong design background and then a bachelors in Home Products Development, she has been able to bring in a creative edge. Since she became a core part of Inkasa Interiors, the company has grown at many levels, and now also includes bespoke furniture, and an exquisite range of home furnishings from all over the world. Using her strength of visually articulating elements together, she along with Pooja rebranded Inkasa Interiors in 2016.

Her international experience boasts of impressive collaborations with brands such as Theory LLC; Mikasa, Lifetime Brands (Product Development Firm); and Club Monaco, Ralph Lauren. She brings a refreshing perspective to Inkasa and keeps herself updated with trends. Having attended the international shows such as the Maison & Objet, Paris; International Home and Housewares Show, Chicago; International Furniture Market, High Point NC and NY Now, The Market for Home and Lifestyle, adds to her specialty.
